In the year 2035, humanity managed to make history by finally uniting the world into a single collective. Thanks to the consistent efforts of a single man named Pesen Love, the world began to see past their differences only to find that humankind prospers better when unclouded by the extremes that separate them. Because of this, Pesen became the very first President of Earth.

The story so far... 95410

Gone were the days of being separate countries with different goals, and in exchange, the days of unification and advancement towards a common goal had risen. Soon, every ethnicity began to co-exist peacefully as skin color was seen as just a common trait and not a potential detriment, and the talks of inequality soon began to die down as the physical evidence of everyone being treated fairly finally began to show. The poor and rural parts of the world were receiving the help they desperately needed to become economically stable. Groups that once hated each other were even coming together, finally having the much-needed discussion that ended with them seeing that they were not as different as they once assumed. Indeed, humanity began to tread the road of progress. However, there was one area that seemed to be progressing the most, that area was technology.

With the scientist and engineers around the globe working together, it was only a matter of time before the greatest minds managed to further technology to the point of achieving things that have only been seen in dreams. The average gas-guzzler soon became electro-powered and could even hover. Prosthetic limbs were cast aside thanks to the breakthrough treatment known as Regrowth Surgery. Movement aids such as wheelchairs, canes, and crutches were quickly dashed aside in favor of the earliest form of Cybernetic Augmentation. Not to mention the most groundbreaking of them all, the artificial birth of a healthy, living and breathing newborn baby.

It would not be long before the gifted men and women began looking to the stars with plans to quell humanity's curiosity, to answer the age-old question of "what is truly up there?", and by the year 2040, they would finally go searching with little to no limitations. Fast forward 72 years later and it is now 2112, a more futuristic time where humanity is now a space-faring race. Colonies have been established on all 8 of the known planets, each with their own governing official that was personally selected by Pesen himself due to their unique outlook as well as their leadership qualities Together with the Galactic President, formally known as the President of Earth, this collective of governing bodies has come to be known as the Galactic Union.

Sadly, a tragedy would fall upon the galaxy that would send a shockwave through the stars. On January 19th, 2112 the Galactic President Pesen Love would die at the wise old age of 109. After a period of morning, an election for the next Galactic President would be held, and after a few months of deliberation, a man by the name of Dorian Rictor would officially become the second Galatic President. He had promised to continue the work of his predecessor, continuing to herald peace throughout the known galaxy, and everything seemed to go well until a few unsavory incidents started to occur.

In 2117, Dorian began overtaxing the citizens of the known galaxy, something that Pesen never did for he felt that such a thing led to discontent. Next came the unnecessary fear-mongering, claiming that unknown space was dangerous and that exploring it would lead to the death of humanity, an action that gained him a loyal following due to their underlying fears of the unknown. Pesen never did this, he instead boosted the ego of humanity and gave them an appropriate amount of confidence to venture forward while openly displaying the limits of humankind. Dorian even managed to convince the leaders of Neptune and Uranus to willingly give up their right to become independent, therefore claiming complete control over the planet-nations, something his predecessor would never do. Rumors began circulating that foul play and blackmail forced the hands of the leaders, however, no proof has been brought to light as of yet. Needless to say, the rest of the GU members did not agree with his methods and began to openly condemn his actions, not only for the previously mentioned but also due to his indolent behavior when confronted.

By 2121, the known galaxy would feel less and less like the most peaceful place to be and more like a breeding ground of toxicity, not just because of Galactic President Rictor's actions, but because of his loyal supports defending him in the worst way possible. Eventually, the time would come for a change, one that would go against everything Pesen had accomplished but could not be helped given the circumstances. The previously mentioned leaders that condemned the actions of GP Rictor would exit the union while choosing to not form another unified faction due to fear of repetition, and instead, they would each become independent. Each of them would go on to further establish their independence by becoming a faction of their own. Thus The Fist of Mars, Mercurys Water, Ascendants of Jupiter, Sons of Saturn, and Daughters of Venus would be created.

The establishment of their independence would spark outrage from the then recovering GU and the abrasive GP who would, in turn, choose to engage in a brash action rather than reflection and reconciliation. The action, of course, being war. In 2056 the GU, which included the other individual factions at that time, had crafted various weapons of war that were meant for both space and planetside combat against potential unknown hostiles. On the orders of the Galactic President, these weapons would be used to attack the now enemies of the GU in a somewhat surprising offensive. Most of them would then immediately follow up with a counter attack, while one of them would be left reeling from the encounter, that one sadly being Mercurys Water.

Out of the five leaders to break off from the GU, Mercury's leader was the only one to leave without a hint of presented hostility. They wished to honor the memory of the great Pesen Love by playing the role of the pacifist and give their people a life filled with peace, thus declaring their faction as non-hostile and neutral. This seemed to mirror the views most of the scientist and engineers of the galaxy had, leading them to side with mercury. When the GU attacked, they managed to kill thousands of innocent people without a second thought, among those that died were people who were minding their business on that day, unaware that the final steps they took were at that moment. Sadly, among them would be the leader of Mercury, who would die trying to make sure every civilian he saw would get to safety before him.

After a funeral for the fallen, that leader's 15-year-old daughter ascends to replace them, becoming the youngest leader of a planet-nation in the history of humankind. She was like her parent in the regard that peace and tranquility were essential for the people to survive and thrive, however, unlike them she knew that in order to obtain this they would need to fight to protect their people. So, due to the actions of the GU that led to the most horrific result, the new young leader of Mercury would call upon the scientist and engineers that agreed with her sentiment, to aid in what is now seen as the galaxy's most powerful retaliation to date.

It would be the year 2129, what can only be described as when the true war began, a mysterious metallic figure began razing the forces of the GU with little to no effort. It would tear through the fleets on land, sea, air, and even in space all by itself. The GU would be forced to pull back any of their remaining forces and go on the defensive. Later, it would be discovered that the destructive weapon was known as an Iron Guardian, a humanoid-esque mech that seemed to be faster than the fleets of the GU at the time and stronger in firepower. It would shock the known galaxy even more when it would be discovered that it not only belonged to Mercurys Water but that it was also being piloted by the new leader of Mercury.

It would not take long before the other factions reach out to Mercury's leader to become allies, all of them asking for the same thing: The secret to the Iron Guardian. However, the young leader of Mercury would decline all of them, saying that the purpose of the Iron Guardian was to protect the people of Mercury from the GU and the war. Several years down the line, a few scientists that were responsible for the creation of the Iron Guardian went missing. The young leader of Mercury knew that the other factions had something to do with it, but instead of following up on the suspicion, decided that it was instead a sign that they should prepare for the worst. Of course, by the year 2135, her call for preparation would prove to be the right course of action.

It would be July 4th, America's Independence Day on Earth when an attack on one of the GU's military bases occurs. The perpetrators are several metallic figures, all fitting the description of what Mercury's Iron Guardian looked like but were all colored crimson. They would go on to decimate the base. The attack would later be claimed by The Fist of Mars, citing that it was only a test for their own personal Iron Guardian units. Two months later, 7 Iron Guardians would be seen destroying a GU transport and several of its escorts. These Iron Guardians would have slightly different weaponry and be colored a shiny blue-green. The Daughters of Venus would, of course, claim this attack. Soon after, more attacks would ensue, each from Saturn and Jupiter that have also acquired Iron Guardians. Mercury, on the other hand, would choose to not attack but defend their home from more invasions. Soon, however, it would not be long before the GU acquired their own Iron Guardians.

The war raged on but with a far stronger intensity thanks to the inclusion of the IGs and it did not see to be slowing down anytime soon. Fights between the GU's Iron Guardians and any other factions IGs would grow too catastrophic to even be within the vicinity of. Not only that but because of the other factions now having knowledge of each other's IGs, paranoia began to ensue, and soon they were even fighting one another when not fighting the GU. Homes of innocent people would be destroyed and innocent lives would be lost, and soon mere talks of incoming attacks, true or false, would leave the people devastated. Eventually, Mercury's young leader would join the war after seeing the plight the innocents faced, seeing their situation mirroring theirs all those years ago. However, her plan would not only involve putting a stop to the GU but also the other factions for being so reckless with such a dangerous superpower. Mercurys Water would then send an army of 300 cerulean colored Iron Guardians to confront the other factions IGs. They would easily overpower them as the other factions were not yet in the position to mass-produce more IGs. The leader of Mercury would then demand that the faction leaders, which of course included an elderly and very infuriated GP Rictor, to sign a non-aggression pact after pointing out how bad the war was affecting those that were not fighting in it. Should they refuse, Mercury's leader would take the unfortunate action of ending all of their lives and would call upon the more level headed of each planet-nation to take their place.

Faced with a decision that had an obvious answer, the leaders of each faction and GP Rictor, would sign the pact and swear by it. However, they would all do it with grudges in their hearts, not just grudges for the leader of Mercury but for each other as well. Some of them even began plotting their next move.

25 years later

It is now the year 2160, the non-aggression pact is still ongoing. Since then, the public has somehow gained access to the Iron Guardian design and has since modified and refined it to fit what they desire. The laws around possession of an Iron Guardian vary from planet to planet, with some even going so far as to outlaw civilian possession. As for the political side of everything, the tensions could not be any higher than they are now, and in fact, it seems that there may eventually be yet another galactic war on the horizon. Unlike the days of old, however, it may not be just those of the factions that join in the fray this time...(More will be added as they happen in the RP.)
